Why We Built This Site
New Mexico provides several public access paths, yet no single office holds the full Hidalgo County story. The sheriff creates local reports and handles registration questions. The detention facility keeps booking and custody facts. Hidalgo County District and Magistrate Courts maintain filed charges, hearings, and outcomes, while New Mexico Case Lookup offers a public index. DPS keeps the State Central Repository for fingerprint-supported arrest history. NMCD covers prison and state supervision records. This site brings the verified contacts, search fields, request steps, and limits of those systems into one local reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Agency contacts: verified routes to the Hidalgo County sheriff, detention facility, Lordsburg court clerks, DPS, and NMCD
- Record guides: how local court, arrest, custody, and registry sources differ
- Official self-review steps: the notarized DPS process for a person's own fingerprint-supported New Mexico arrest history
- Record cleanup information: New Mexico expungement rules and the Hidalgo County District Court filing route
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of Hidalgo County or the State of New Mexico. It has no connection to a court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that every posted phone number, fee, hour, or address remains current
Only the issuing sheriff, court, DPS repository, or other custodian can provide an official record. Any certified document must come from that office.
Search Partners
Outside providers power search boxes on some pages. They operate under their own terms, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports site operations. The provider, not Hidalgo County Criminal History, determines its fees, data practices, and output.
